About the Data

The American Community Survey (ACS) is an ongoing survey that provides data every year to give communities the current information they need to plan investments and services. The ACS covers a broad range of topics about social, economic, demographic, and housing characteristics of the U.S. population.

About the Census Reporter API

Census Reporter is a Knight News Challenge-funded project to make it easier for journalists to write stories using information from the U.S. Census bureau. This application uses the Census Reporter API to access ACS data.
